Question:  How do I log in to the Mac computers?

Answer - you need your Xnumber and Password to log in to a Mac or PC

Question:  How do I eject the CD/DVD drive on a Mac?

Answer - Press the triangle key located on the far upper right top corner of the keyboard to open or close the drve.

Question:  Where do I save my files?

Answer - Save your files into the _Student_Folder.  Any files saved on to the desk top will be erased upon restart or logout.

Question:  Why did my files disappear when I restarted the MAC?

Answer - You can only save in the _Student_Folder. Files saved anywhere else in the computer will be erased.

Question:  Can I recover files that were on the desktop?

Answer - No

Question:  I can not eject / unmount my CD, DVD, External Hard Drive or Server.

Answer - 1, Close any files that you opened directly from your drive, media or server. 2, If you have any fonts you loaded to Suitcase directly from your meida, deactivate and remove them 3, Now try to eject the drive. 4, If you are still unable to eject the drive restart the machine and try to eject it one more time.

Question:  My computer has a spinning wheel, and has frozen?

Answer - If you are connected to a network volume, the computer may have dropped or lost its connection with the server.  Try re-launching the finder by clicking on Apple>Force Quit, Select Finder and click Relaunch (Or press the option + command and Esc at the same time).  You may have to do this several times before your computer responds.  Once it does, eject the nework volumes if you are not using them.  If the problem persists, contact the tech that is on duty.

Question:  I am unable to connect to the internet or any server?

Answer - Check the Ethernet cable at the back of the computer and make sure it is connected.
